The Nurturing Nest Preschool

In 1969, the Presbyterian Church in Burlington, MA founded the Presbyterian Kindergarten as a non-sectarian, non-profit, program to prepare kindergarten-age children for elementary school. With the inclusion of a kindergarten program in the public schools, the program was restructured as a nursery school and was renamed The Presbyterian Nursery School.
In April 2008, we renamed the school The Nurturing Nest. We were concerned that the previous name suggested a religious affiliation with the church. We hoped that by changing the school's name we would eliminate any confusion to those unfamiliar with our program. We also thought the name fit the "Nurturing" environment we have prided ourselves on since the inception of the school.

The Preschool is licensed by the EEC (Early Education and Care Dvision of the Deparment of Education) and a copy of the regulations are available at the school by request.

The mission of the school is to provide an enriching 1/2 day preschool program for 3 -5 year olds in preparation for ever demanding requirements of kindergarten.
